Your responsibilities

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for sales and bidding work for technically complex contracts in water and wastewater. This means that you:

  • Drive and lead bidding projects in Sweden and Norway, focusing on total, process, and mechanical contracts.
  • Ensure that sales targets and order intake are achieved.
  • Ensure that bidding work is conducted according to Purac's routines, policies, and quality systems.
  • Prepare quotes, manage commercial terms, and lead contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, technical specialists, and lawyers to create competitive offers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and build long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Follow up on won contracts and contribute to continuous improvement through feedback.

Good to know

You will belong to the Marketing and Sales department, which is responsible for selling contracts to municipalities and industries. You will be based at our headquarters in Lund, or alternatively at one of our offices in Stockholm or Gothenburg, and report to the Marketing and Sales Manager. You will be part of a competent and business-driven team that all work with bids and sales in our areas of water, wastewater, and biogas. Travel is expected in the position and is estimated to be around 30 days/year.

Our expectations

We are looking for someone with solid experience in sales, bidding, and project management within contracting or water and wastewater. You should have a higher technical education as a civil engineer or equivalent. Since a large part of the role involves bidding work, public procurement, and contract law (AB/ABT/ABA/Orgalime/SSG etc.), we prefer that you have experience in these areas, or parts of them. You are accustomed to working in a structured manner and are skilled at producing technical and commercial documentation.

In your work, you will have many points of contact both internally and externally, so you speak and write fluently in Swedish and English. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have an understanding of other Nordic languages.
